Theophilus Sackey |
Theophilus Sackey is the Director, Power at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), responsible for Power project Development. An electrical engineer by profession, he holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Belarus Polytechnic Institute, Minsk, Belarus, and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Harvard University, Cambridge, USA. He has over 30 years’ experience in the power and energy sector, covering power system planning and operations, energy policy analysis as well as the development and implementation of public and private sector energy projects. He has been extensively involved in the development of key energy and power projects across West Africa, including the Takoradi Thermal Power Project, the Bui Hydroelectric Project, the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) and the West African Power Pool (WAPP).
